Gallery walls look best when they feature not only beloved pieces of artwork or photography, but also other acquired items of various shapes and sizes that give the wall a collected look. We paired the beautiful photographic artwork of Kate Cunningham with unique wood carvings, keys of all sizes, wooden molds, iron crosses, and an architectural candle sconce.

Scotland Yard Antiques Spring Open House
Scotland Yard Antiques is hosting its annual Spring Open House this Sunday in Historic Lawrenceville. Stop by and check out the new items in store at the Chapin Group booth! We have completely redecorated. Check out a few of the latest additions below.
(Admission: One of the hardest parts of running a booth is not KEEPING every item for yourself. We have such interesting finds right now-- you better buy them before I do!)
Scotland Yard is open extended hours for this event and will have plenty of treats on hand!
Saturday: 12pm-7pm
Sunday: 12:30pm-5pm
Hope to see you there!
Seltzer bottles and Chinese tiles in a beautiful blue-green hue.

Colbalt blue pottery.

I love this vignette of browns and whites.
This cast iron fireplace surround would make a beautiful faux fireplace or look great as an architectural element in your garden.
A full view of the booth.
Wooden grenade crate from the 50's.

Beautiful English lawn bowling balls.
Case of vintage beer bottles from Belgium.
Turquoise is the 2010 color of the year, you know!
Our back bookshelf-- full of great finds!
Reminders of the coast...so refreshing!

New Items at the Booth
My aunt and cousin visited this past weekend for a girl's shopping weekend. (Look for the BIG blog post on our adventures coming soon.) My aunt brought several merchandise additions for our antique booth at Scotland Yard.
(Disclaimer: these photos were taken quickly with a camera phone and were not intended for use on the blog. However, I really like the new items and wanted to show them off. Please excuse the backgrounds!)
I love the all white look...and the bird, of course.
This glass piece has such intricate detailing.
The blue pottery and glass accessories remind me of summer. I can't wait!
Come by Scotland Yard and take a look!

Our Updated Booth Featured at Creative Style
Cheryl over at Creative Style featured our booth on her blog yesterday! Cheryl is a fellow vendor at Scotland Yard Antiques in downtown Lawrenceville. Here is a peek at her beautiful booth that has been completely restyled for Spring with a romantic garden feel. Isn't it beautiful?

Scotland Yard Booth Additions
As promised, my trusty partner/mom sent the images of our most recent additions to the booth at Scotland Yard. We had some great finds this weekend (and a lot of fun too!). We ventured out to our favorite spots despite the cold, snowy weather. All of the items below are available at the Chapin Group booth at Scotland Yard in downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Love, love these test tubes and holders. They make a GREAT, eclectic vase. Check out the example below from Brooke Giannetti's blog, Velvet & Linen. Great minds think alike! Also, note the antique Singer oil can. The vendor told us that these came from an old lingerie factory. So neat! This would be a great accessory on bookshelves or a side table.
We purchased several of these fabulous glazed Chinese Shiwan tiles. They are approximately 12''x12" and would look great as wall hangings.

This antique clock box did not photograph well. It is great in person. It would make an interesting shadow box or a beautiful jewelry box.

We cannot keep these ballister candlesticks in stock! Their interesting lines and finishes really add character to whatever room you place them in.

Enjoy! Please stop by any time.

New Additions to the Antique Booth
We have just added new finds to our booth at Scotland Yard Antiques in downtown Lawrenceville. Check out our recent finds, and be sure to inquire about those must-have items!
We just added this gorgeous white writing desk ($120) and bamboo mirror ($79). I love the look of the wheeled magazine rack ($59.99) as well. The wine cask (yes, made from a real wine cask) is custom made by Wendy ($149.99). I am seeing industrial lighting everywhere!

Vintage spools of thread add a great pop of color to a vignette or tabletop. Only $3.99 each.

Seltzer bottles add a cool retro feeling. These are a steal at $24.99. The vintage Pepsi crate is $21.99.

Lighthouse sketch is a limited edition piece. I love how the drawing bleeds onto the matting.

These library stairs were such a cool find at an estate sale. Just $79.99.

We have all sorts of accessories, but check out the ladder shelf on the left. For just $250 this adds character to any empty wall.

We were taken by these unique glass ornaments. $14.99 each.

I love these ballister candlesticks. I am tempted to purchase them for my own home! $21.99-$27.99 each.
We are adding books every week, since they seem to fly off the shelf!

More books and accessories in our expanded space.

Birdcages are everywhere this Spring. We were so excited to find this beautiful wood cage.

Apothecary jars add an old world feel AND organization to any bathroom. These are all of Belgian origin. They are perfect for storing q-tips and cotton balls. $14.99 each. We laughed that the bamboo brass tray ($39) we were so excited to find looks so much like one Eddie Ross revitalized on his blog just days later!
